About me

Team Member BIO - Andre Ferreira, Advanced Podiatrist.

Andr� has more than 14 years experience in treating foot and ankle conditions. He graduated from the University of Porto in 2006 with a BSc degree in Podiatry.

He has experience working both for the NHS and private clinics in London and Portugal and joins our team as an Advanced Podiatrist at the Maidenhead Foot and Ankle clinic.

Andr� completed a post-graduate diploma in 2008 in Minimal invasive Podiatric Surgery at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and in 2010 a externship in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine which as allowed him to further is knowledge and expertise.

Most recently he gained his Master�s degree in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery at the University of Huddersfield which will allow him to further his training in Podiatric Surgery.

As an Extended Scope Podiatrist he is experienced in treating all kinds of musculoskeletal pathologies.

Andre specialises in lower limb biomechanics, musculoskeletal podiatry, foot pain, sports injuries of the foot and ankle and paediatrics podiatry but enjoys all aspects of the profession.

Aside from his clinical duties, Andre takes an active role in the teaching and training of his colleagues. He has lectured extensively throughout Europe and South America. He is an advisor to the European League Against Rheumatology and a editor for the European journal of Podiatry. He is a published scientific author and enjoys participating in research projects to further the profession, about which he is passionate.

Hobbies:

Outside of clinic time Andre is very sociable and enjoys spending time with friends. Having recently moved to Henley he is enjoying exploring everything it has to offer, so if you have any good restaurant recommendations or lovely country walks he can take is adorable dog be sure to send them his way.
