About me

Dr Storrar is a Consultant Respiratory Physician. Having graduated in 2005 from Guy�s King�s and St Thomas Hospitals Medical School with Distinction in Clinical Sciences, he completed his Foundation Training in London, before moving to Hampshire to complete his higher specialty training in Respiratory and General Medicine in the Wessex Deanery. During his specialty training he completed a postgraduate degree (MD) in Portsmouth investigating novel treatments for patients with severe allergic asthma. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2009 and completed his Specialty Training in Respiratory and General Medicine in 2017. He now works at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT).

Dr Storrar has a particular interest in Asthma and is clinical lead for the Asthma Service at HHFT. He also sees patients with a wide range of other respiratory conditions and runs specialty clinics in Asthma, Lung Cancer and TB. Dr Storrar participates in specialist MDTs for Asthma, Lung Cancer, TB, Interstitial Lung Disease and Long COVID.

Dr Storrar has been clinical lead for the Respiratory Service at HHFT and is currently Clinical Director for Long Term Conditions.

As well as his clinical and managerial responsibilities, Dr Storrar is also the Deputy Training Programme Director for the Wessex Deanery and is Educational and Clinical Supervisor for a number of trainee doctors.

Outside of work Dr Storrar enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and the theatre. He is a keen hockey player although spends more of his time coaching and standing on the side lines watching his 3 boys play these days!!
