About me

Hello, I am a specialist children's speech and language therapist based in Belfast, BT5. I have over 20 years' experience assessing and treating a wide variety of speech and language difficulties.
Before setting up in private practice in 2017 I worked across a range of healthcare settings including community clinics, primary school units for children with MLD, and Sure Starts, which included providing therapy within mainstream schools. Within these roles I provided one to one therapy, small groups and whole class groups and provided training to parents and education / early years staff.
As a SLT and mum of 3 I'm passionate about helping children achieve their potential and working with every child and family according to their individual needs.
I'm also a trained primary school teacher, having completed a PGCE and have taught P1 and P2 children. This gives me a much broader perspective, not just about a child's speech and language needs but how to view these needs within the context of school life and learning.
