About me

Mr Harris is a consultant spinal surgeon who specialises exclusively in childrens' and young adult spinal disorders. He is a substantive consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas' and the Evelina Childrens' hospitals. His surgical practice is highly complex and high volume and he will perform approximately 120 complex spinal deformity operations per year.

He qualified from the University of St Andrews with a BSc. in medical science and completed his medical degree ,MBChB, at the University of Manchester in 2003. His surgical training rotation included experience in orthopaedic major trauma, spinal deformity / tumours / degeneration and infection. This involved placements at most of the major London University teaching hospitals including St Georges, Royal Free, Chelsea and Westminster, Royal London and Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals.

In addition to completing his higher surgical training and attaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and GMC specialist registration he completed two years of subspeciality spinal deformity training at St Georges University Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.

Mr Harris' private practice is dedicated exclusively to childrens' spinal conditions and he is a Consultant for The Portland Scoliosis and Spinal Surgery Centre.
