Consultant rehabilitation physician

Dr. Simon Shaw is a Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. He is a specialist in managing disability and recovery from both injury and illness.

Qualified from Cambridge and Oxford Universities prior to progressing into paediatrics and primary care and then specialising in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

He is lead clinician at the Bowley Close Regional Specialist Rehabilitation Service for assistive technology including prosthetics, orthotics, Specialist seating and Assistive Communication service. He is also the lead for the post-polio service through the Lane Fox Respiratory Service at St Thomas Hospital.

Prosthetics children and adults for both acquired and congenital limb deficiency and amputations;
Polio and post- polio syndrome; Neuro-rehabilitation;
Chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions including neck and back pain.
