About me

MSc, CTA, UKCP Counsellor/ Psychotherapist.

I am an experienced Counsellor & Adult Psychotherapist.  I support and help people with issues of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self-harm, bereavement, and trauma related issues.

My approach is integrative, relational and trauma informed using differing techniques and models, to support and tailor the therapy to each individual's needs.

About my service and how I work

The service I offer is a safe space confidential, and non-judgemental.

Seeking counselling can seem daunting and very uncertain. Over the years I have developed my way of working which you will experience as warm and compassionate, along with being supportive and sufficiently challenging. This structure provides you with the opportunity to explore your issues in safe space and develop strategies and new ways of thinking or being. Attending counselling gives you the space you need to be able to talk things through with a qualified practitioner. This can help you find your voice or identify your needs and then work towards achieving what you want or need. You may wish to make changes or take positive steps towards overcoming your obstacles with healthy new strategies for coping and ultimately enhance your life.

You don't have to be alone or do it all by yourself. Sometimes all you need is someone to listen, to care, and for someone to be there to help you through a difficult time, to help you make sense of your world. That's my role.

I am a registered member of BACP -British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the UKCP - UK Council for Psychotherapy, and I adhere to their Code of Ethics and professional guidelines.
