About me
Matt qualified as a physiotherapist with distinction from Glasgow Caledonian University. Initially he worked part time in private practice and part time in the NHS focusing on musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He now works full time in private practice. His aim is to help each patient reach their individual goals and likes to ensure a hands on approach is used in conjunction with other treatment options.
He has a wide range of experience working with everyone from the elderly to elite athletes. He will work to ensure each patient has treatment tailored to their needs, whether that is a one off treatment or ongoing maintenance.
He has previously provided physiotherapy cover at the Scottish Institute of Sport, and is currently a course tutor for Proactive Training delivering courses to undergraduate physiotherapy students. Before qualifying as a physiotherapist he completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiology and Sports Science and worked as a personal trainer.
In his spare time Matt has a passion for the outdoors and is a competitive runner. He has previously competed in cross country, road and hill running events, but more recently has focused on ultra-distance events representing Scotland in 2011/2012 and Great Britain in 2013.
