About me
I am a fellowship trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. I treat all disorders of the upper limb with a particular interest in trauma injuries and degenerative conditions. I am passionate about arthroscopic upper limb surgery and was awarded an arthroscopic travelling fellowship around the UK. I have experience of international fellowships where I refined my arthroscopy and joint replacement skills of the upper limb.
After completing my training in London and the South of England I undertook fellowships in Melbourne, Australia and then Nice, France. I went on to do an Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital and subsequently was appointed as a Consultant at the unit.
I am currently part of the committee for the international Shoulder and Elbow society (SECEC) developing the Educational and Qualification portfolio. I am a full member of the British and European Elbow and Shoulder Societies and the British Hand society. I am an active part of the Wrightington research unit and have completed a BSc and two masters degrees in the area of Trauma and Orthopaedics. I am passionate about education and training and regularly teach and train other healthcare practitioners. I also co-ordinate the FRCS exam course for trainee surgeons held at Wrightington Hospital.
