About me
Miss Deepa Janga is a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The North Middlesex University Hospital specialising in high risk obstetrics, Fetal Medicine, Benign and Acute gynaecology, Minimal access surgery and Ultrasound scanning.
Miss Deepa Janga completed her Medical Graduation from India, worked in a busy maternity unit for three years and did further training in North East Central London and achieved CCT. Having worked in London throughout her career in UK, she has looked after women from diverse ethnic backgrounds. She holds a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and uses these skills to provide Family Planning services.
She is a highly qualified, experienced and caring Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She is active in the education of trainees and junior doctors in her field. She is also the Regional Ultrasound Training Co-ordinator for North East London Deanery. She is an examiner for UCL MBBS final OSCEs and MRCOG part 3. She was voted as the “Trainer of the year” in 2019 from the North Central East London Deanery and nominated for the National award.
In her role as the perinatal lead (2014-18), she organised monthly mortality and morbidity meetings, disseminate the lessons learnt and facilitate Trust wide learning. She chairs the monthly Fetal medicine MDT meetings attended by FMU team, sonographers, neonatal consultant. She plays active role in Clinical Research with the aim to provide Evidence based Medicine and her area of interest is Pre-ecclampsia and has been the PI (Principal Investigator) for the multi-centric trials ASPRE, SPREE, EVENTS, DESiGN and STATIN.
