This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
I have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist for 23 years, 17 years of which I was a full-time Consultant with an interest in Vitreo-retinal and General Ophthalmic surgery at Blackpool Victoria Hospital (BVH). At present I run a weekly cataract clinic and cataract surgical theatre list at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. I no longer perform Vitreo-retinal surgery, however I am happy to provide VR opinions.
I have extensive experience in cataract surgery, including premium lens implants (Tecnis Sympony and Rayner Sulcoflex). Sulcoflex Trifocal accredited. I perform laser treatments for post cataract capsule thickening: YAG capsulotomy, laser treatments for glaucoma: YAG and argon. Laser treatments for retinal disease, including for retinal tears, diabetes and vascular occlusions. I also perform temporary punctual plug insertion and permanent punctual occlusions for dry eyes as well as corrective lid surgeries for entropion or ectropion lid problems.
To date I have performed over 4000 cataract procedures in both my NHS and private practices, as well as over 1000 laser cases.
