About me

I am an HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 19 years experience of working in the NHS.

I continue to work part time in the NHS as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and have specialist experience of working with children, young people, adults and families in health care settings with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My NHS role also includes providing weekly supervision and consultation to other Clinical Psychologists.

I have a specialist interest in working with physical health conditions and anxiety disorders such as generalised anxiety, OCD, panic, social anxiety and chronic stress/burnout. I also enjoy working with adults who are looking to improve their general wellbeing, cope with work stress or improve their quality of life.

I am also a member of the UK Sports Institute Mental Health Practitioner Network, supporting athlete mental health and emotional wellbeing across a range of sports.

I've received additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Developing a safe and open space within the context of a supportive therapeutic relationship is important to me. I flexibly adapt my approach to the unique needs of each individual's presenting difficulties, and discuss evidence based treatment options following an assessment.
