About me
I am an HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20 years' experience of working in the NHS. I have been working independently, alongside my NHS role, for the last 7 years.
I am dedicated to helping adults, young people and their parents improve their emotional wellbeing through compassionate, research backed psychological therapy.
With a specialist interest in anxiety-related difficulties and physical health conditions, I support individuals facing challenges such as health anxiety, generalised anxiety, OCD, phobias, social anxiety, panic, pain, ill-health, work stress or burnout.
As a member of the UK Sports Institute (UKSI) Mental Health Practitioner Network, I also work with elite athletes helping them maintain their mental health and emotional resilience in high-performance environments.
I recognise that the relationship between therapist and client plays a central role in the success of therapy. I take the time to ensure each person feels genuinely heard, understood, and respected, by creating a safe and supportive space where clients can speak openly, explore challenges without judgment, and feel empowered to move forward at their own pace.
My approach is collaborative, working with goals defined by the client to ensure that therapy focuses on what truly matters to them, using evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which is considered a 3rd wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I value openness and transparency, believing that trust and clear communication are essential in helping clients feel secure and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
Please visit my website for more information about my approach and contact me either via email or through my website (new website coming soon), to arrange a no obligation brief telephone call to discuss options.
