About me
Mr Jason Ho is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon with subspecialty interests in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina at the Prince Charles Eye Unit in Windsor, and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. He is also Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at Western Eye Hospital, London.
After gaining a first class intercalated honours degree in Immunobiology, Mr Ho graduated second in his year at Imperial College School of Medicine with Distinction. He undertook his ophthalmology residency training in London in Moorfields and the Western Eye Hospitals, followed by subspecialty vitreoretinal fellowship training at St Thomas' and Western Eye Hospitals (Imperial). He is a keen surgical trainer and is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Microsurgical Skills Training Faculty and the Examination Panel as well as an editorial reviewer for the Eye Journal.
Mr Ho treats general and urgent ophthalmic conditions as well as sub-specialist diseases of the retina, both medical and surgical. His special interests include vitreoretinal surgery, retinal detachment surgery, cataract surgery, macula hole repair surgery, epiretinal membranes, vitreous haemorrhage, diabetic retinopathy, medical retina, complex cataract surgery including scleral-fixation of IOLs, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease.
Jason takes pride in providing the best possible care for all his patients and is both an expert cataract and retinal surgeon and an ophthalmic specialist who has a friendly, holistic and compassionate approach to healthcare. He is keen to ensure his patients are treated in the most efficient, timely and accurate manner.
