About me

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, supporting both adults and young people with a wide range of mental health conditions. I also trained as an Integrative Counsellor 18 years ago, which informs my flexible, client-centered approach. I am an accredited EMDR therapist and regularly integrate trauma-focused CBT with EMDR to support individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related difficulties. Over the past 10 years, I have worked extensively with veterans with complex PTSD, providing evidence-based interventions to foster recovery, resilience, and emotional regulation.

I am highly skilled in assessing and treating a broad spectrum of mental health presentations, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), trauma-based disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, phobias, panic disorder, depression, sleep difficulties, relationship and couples issues, health anxiety, grief, self-esteem difficulties, and chronic pain. My approach is grounded in evidence-based CBT principles, complemented by EMDR where appropriate, and always tailored to the individual's needs.

I have over 25 years of experience working with children and young people, supporting a wide variety of needs including autism, ADHD, sleep difficulties, behavioural challenges, self-harm, anxiety, and emotional regulation. I draw on both CBT and integrative counselling approaches to support young people in developing coping strategies, self-awareness, and resilience.

Before qualifying as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Integrative Counsellor, I worked as a Registered Nurse specialising in adults and children with learning disabilities (RNLD) within the NHS. During this time, I worked clinically and managed a team which supported individuals with autism, sensory processing needs, sexualized or aggressive behaviours, and complex communication challenges, gaining extensive experience in person-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

I currently work from a serene woodland therapy setting in the Rowhedge area, providing a calm and restorative environment for therapeutic work. I am passionate about animals, nature, and creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore and work towards meaningful change.
