About me

Having qualified from Leeds University in 1995, Miss Harman gained experience in neurosurgery and ITU before undergoing postgraduate ophthalmic training on the London North Thames rotation, based at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
She completed a Corneal and Refractive Fellowship at the prestigious Queen Victoria Hospital Oculoplastic Unit in East Grinstead and has been a consultant at Hillingdon Hospital since 2011, specialising in cataract surgery and the cornea.
She is the sub-specialty Cataract Lead for the department and, as Educational Supervisor, is also responsible for postgraduate training. She is a high-volume cataract surgeon specialising in complex cataracts.
Research interests include spectacle independance following cataract surgery and dry eyes.
She has contributed to NICE guidance on dry eye examination and enjoys being a faculty member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Microsurgical Skills course, introducing the next generation to the rewards of intraocular surgery.
