About me

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the care of patients with shoulder and elbow conditions. This specialisation allows me to provide high quality care whilst using the latest open and arthroscopic techniques. I aim to offer an individualised service with the integral involvement of the physiotherapy team to ensure optimal treatment is offered to each patient.

I was appointed at the University Hospitals of Birmingham Foundation Trust in 2019 and provide treatment for patients across Solihull, Good Hope, Queen Elizabeth and Royal Orthopaedic Hospitals.

I trained in the well-regarded local Warwick Orthopaedic Training Programme before completing my Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at the world-renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry. During this time I have developed an expertise in complex open and arthroscopic shoulder and elbow procedures. In 2019, I was awarded the prestigious Watanabe Travelling Fellowship for Shoulder Arthroscopy allowing me to learn state of the art arthroscopic techniques from leading shoulder surgeons across the United Kingdom.

Areas of interest

I specialise in degenerative and traumatic Shoulder and Elbow complaints. I offer arthroscopic treatment of a wide range of shoulder pathologies that include rotator cuff tears, instability, biceps pathology and frozen shoulder as well as shoulder replacements for arthritis. I perform open and arthroscopic elbow surgery for a variety of conditions that include tennis/golfers elbow, ulna nerve compression, post-traumatic stiffness and osteoarthritis.
