About me
James read medicine at University College London and was a warded a 1st class degree for his work on Human Genetics. He completed his higher surgical training in the prestigious North West Thames Rotation. James furthered his orthopaedic excellence with sub-specialty shoulder and elbow fellowships at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) and a further year at the world renowned Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter. He was subsequently appointed as a Consultant at GSTT in 2019.
His practice encompasses all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including arthroscopy, arthroplasty and trauma. James has a special interest in complex upper limb trauma and sports injuries, and runs the upper limb trauma service for St Thomas' trauma department. He has a reputation as a thorough clinician, effective communicator and skilled surgeon.
He is well published, including national guidelines, peer reviewed publications and book chapters on all aspects of upper limb surgery.
Away from work, James enjoys spending time with his young family and is a keen sports fan. Rugby and racquet sports are his passions.
