About me

Miss Gubby Ayida, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. She is a graduate of Somerville College, Oxford University and St Thomas’ Medical School, London. She was awarded a DM from Oxford for her postgraduate thesis on Special Applications of Ultrasound to Management of Sub-fertility.

At the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, Miss Ayida is the Associate Medical Director for Strategic Programmes.

Her interest in Organisational Management, Risk Assessment/Reduction and Clinical Governance has led to regional and national contributions including membership of NHS Modernisation Think Tank Groups and the National Clinical Governance Support Unit’s Maternity Programme for hospitals. The impact of multidisciplinary team working on risk and clinical outcome is another special interest area for Gubby Ayida. She is an Accredited Instructor and Facilitator in National Multidisciplinary Training Programmes.

Miss Ayida is Founder and Clinical Director of The Women’s Wellness Centre – a private healthcare facility in Chelsea for women, dedicated to all aspects of women’s health and wellbeing. She also sits on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth

She is passionate about women’s education and the challenges that women face in the workplace. She is a speaker at schools and colleges and an old girl of the Cheltenham Ladies’ College, where she now sits on the Board of Governors.
