Primary medical degree 1985 Guy's & St Thomas' Medical School, University of London.
Specialty training in anaesthetics and pain medicine Bristol and South West.
Lecturer in Anaesthetics at University of Bristol before becoming consultant at Frenchay Hospital and Senior Clinical Lecturer (University of Bristol) 1996.
Advised NICE on interventional pain treatments during the decade up to 2015.
Invited speaker at international pelvic pain meetings and at the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland.
Fellow of Faculty of Pain Medicine at Royal College of Anaesthetists by election.
Undertook "Stage" in pudendal neuralgia diagnosis and management in Nantes.
Specialty director for anaesthesia at North Bristol NHS Trust. Later became specialty director for pain services in the trust.
Ceased full-time NHS practice 2017.
Continuing role at University of Bristol as Teaching Fellow.
