About me

Mr
Andrew Pieri is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in
Newcastle upon Tyne. His specialist fields are in breast cancer surgery and breast
cosmetic surgery including benign breast disease operations, breast reconstruction and
breast conserving cancer operations, cosmetic augmentation, reduction/uplift surgery, fat transfer and other aesthetic procedures.
Mr Pieri graduated in 2007 and completed both his basic and advanced surgical training
in the Northeast of England. As a senior trainee, he worked under the tutorage of leading
plastic and breast cancer surgeons at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and following this
period, he was appointed to join them as a consultant colleague.
With numerous research publications and a medical device patent to his name, he
maintains an active interest in operative technology and is pioneering a number of
medical device advances. He is currently the chief investigator for an industry funded
randomized control trial in medical device research.
He has a keen interest in education with lead roles in both undergraduate and postgraduate training.
