About me
As a registered clinical psychologist I have a passion for working with a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as fear, anxiety, poor self-esteem, low mood, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, stress, difficulties in adjusting to life events and relationship/interpersonal difficulties. I know that deciding to seek help can be difficult, yet living with emotional difficulties can be even more challenging and draining. I want to empower you to find new ways of coping and being. This can mean learning new coping strategies, relating differently to your thoughts and emotions, and being more connected to others.
My main therapeutic approaches include CBT, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), systemic and mindfulness techniques. The most important feature of therapy for me, however, is the therapeutic relationship. This means that my approach is primarily guided by what you bring to the session.
I strive to facilitate non-judgemental and confidential environment conducive to positive change and self-growth. I believe that as humans we cope with life challenges as best as we know, but sometimes we get stuck. At times like this we might need external help to find new ways of being and coping. My mission is to promote recovery, restore hope and joy.
