About me

Skin Analytics offers two dermatology services for customers 18 and over that let you get skin concerns checked from home:

1. Moles/skin lesions
A dermatologist reviews suspicious moles or lesions using images you take with a smartphone kit we send you. Results are provided within three working days.

How it works:
o Get in touch to authorise the service.
o Register via the link Bupa provides.
o Receive and use an imaging kit to take and send photos.
o A consultant dermatologist reviews the images and shares results via email. If needed, a clinician will call to discuss next steps.
o If the outcome is referral to a dermatologist Bupa will be in touch within 1 working day (urgent referral) and 3 working days (non-urgent referral) to support with onward referral.

Customers must be:
� 18 or over
� Concerned about up to 3 moles/skin lesions (4 or more is not suitable for a telederm service)
� Moles/lesions is NOT:
o Wider than 2cm
o Previously biopsied
o Rashes or other skin conditions, like eczema or psoriasis
o Beneath nails, on eyelid/lip or inside eyes/ears/nose/mouth
o Obscured by hair (e.g. on scalp), or on tattoos/scars
o Wet, open or bleeding
o On intimate areas (e.g. on genitalia, breast or rectal area)

2. General Dermatology
For other skin concerns (e.g. acne, eczema, rashes), customers can use this service. No imaging kit is sent � customer downloads the Skin Analytics app and uploads images. Results provided within three working days.

o Get in touch to authorise the service.
o Download the Skin Analytics app.
o Upload images of skin concern to app.
o A consultant dermatologist reviews the images and shares results in app and via email. If needed, a clinician will call to discuss next steps.
o If the outcome is referral to a dermatologist Bupa will be in touch within 3 working days to support with onward referral.

Eligible:
� Non-urgent skin condition
� 18 years or over
� Skin condition is NOT associated with:
o An urgent or emergency situation that requires immediate attention, e.g.
o Life- or limb-threatening conditions (e.g. signs of a heart attack or stroke)
o Severe injury after an accident, e.g. burns or a laceration
o Severe pain
o Sudden changes in health
o Fevers or rigors
o Confusion
o Dizziness
o Severe difficulty breathing
o Heavy bleeding from the skin
o Sudden, rapid swelling of the lips, mouth, throat, or tongue

� Skin condition is NOT:
o A pre-existing condition (e.g. acne, psoriasis, eczema)
o A mole or skin lesion for which you're concerned it could be skin cancer (please use suspected cancer Skin Analytics pathway)
o A skin wound/ulcer
o On intimate areas (e.g. on genitalia, breasts or rectal area)
