About me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 19 years experience working in the NHS as a Psychologist. I have worked with people across the lifespan but now focus on adults with mental health and well-being concerns. I can work with many of the difficulties that arise from modern city living, such as anxiety, depression, stress related concerns, low self esteem, parenting and relationship issues, domestic abuse and trauma, the psychological impact of physical health conditions and disabilities.

I offer individualised assessment, formulation and treatment of Psychological distress. I use an integrative model that may draw on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Video Interaction Guidance, Compassion Focused Therapy or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to suit the individual. All of the therapies I use are based on a strong evidence base of research, and are time limited typically 6-16 sessions. Embedded within my practice is Systemic Therapy which considers the influence of the environment, age, gender, race, heritage, community and culture.

During my 19 years working as a NHS Psychologist I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings. Most recently I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in Mental Health Services at the Homerton University NHS Foundation Trust, University College London Hospital and the East London Foundation Trust. During my career I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at Bath Spa University, City University, Goldsmiths University of London and the University of East London.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist and as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
