About me
Mr Zuhair Nawaz is a top orthopaedic surgeon based in Surrey. He specialises in all aspects of hip and knee surgery including replacements, revision and complex joint replacement surgery, sports knee injuries/reconstruction, lower limb trauma, corrective osteotomy surgery and management of patellofemoral conditions.
Mr Nawaz is recognised as expert in revision surgery as well as knee preservation especially Soft Tissue Knee injuries, Osteotomy surgery and Patellofemoral conditions.
Mr Nawaz completed his schooling at St Paul's School, Barnes, then graduated from the Imperial College and went on to complete his orthopaedic training on the prestigious London training rotation, with an additional year of experience in plastic surgery. He undertook his fellowship training at the world-renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, undergoing comprehensive training in joint reconstruction. He also received fellowship level training in major trauma and complex limb reconstruction in various specialist centres including St Peters/Rowley Bristow Unit and the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Canada.
After completing his fellowship training, he became a Consultant at Frimley Park Hospital and their Regional Trauma Orthopaedic Lead for the South London and Surrey Trauma Network and one of their leading revision joint replacement surgeons. As well as having a keen interest in research and education, Mr Nawaz frequently publishes on all aspects of hip, knee and trauma surgery. He lectures both nationally and internationally and is an established faculty UK trainer for other consultants in revision and soft tissue knee surgery.
