About me

Colin is a highly experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, working in private practice, with an MSc in Counselling from the University of Abertay Dundee.

Colin�s particular broad field of interest is wellbeing and social connection. Colin firmly commits to building a good working relationship with his clients to help them get the best from therapy. Together, there will be a developed understanding of the presenting problem with clarity on therapeutic goals and expectations.
Colin will work flexibly and collaboratively within the available time.

Colin is registered and accredited with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and EMDR Europe, membership organisations setting recognised standards for therapeutic practice and providing information for therapists, clients of therapy, and the general public.

Colin maintains professional liability and indemnity insurance with Oxygen Professional Risks and is a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Areas of interest

Most people arrive in therapy faced with a degree of challenge around a period or process of change. Colin's areas of interest are the effects of trauma; loss and bereavement; low mood; stress management; OCD; and self-esteem.
