About me
I am a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with special interest in Minimal invasive valve surgery.
I graduated cum laude in Medicine in 2008 at the University of Roma La Sapienza with an experimental thesis in Stem cell and tissue engineering for heart diseases.
I started my training in Cardiac surgery, following a competitive admission, in 2009 at the University of Rome Sapienza.
During my training I have always been interested in minimal invasive valve surgery and before completing my training in 2014 I have spent 1 year abroad to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Cardiac surgery.
In September 2015 I started a 3 years Doctoral course PhD Angio-Cardio-Thoracic Pathophysiology and Imaging at the University Sapienza of Rome, completed in January 2019
I was appointed as Consultant Cardiac Surgeon in Blackpool Victoria Hospital in 2017.
