About me

Dr Jackson is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with over 14 years of experience in the field of acquired brain injury and neurorehabilitation.

She qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from University College London in 2011, and has undertaken specialist post-doctoral training in neuropsychology, and is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN).

Dr Jackson provides specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic support for individuals presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions. Her experience spans working across the full rehabilitation pathway including working in acute care, outpatient diagnostics, and community neurorehabilitation.

Within her therapeutic work Dr Jackson adopts an integrative, evidence-based approach informed by a range of therapeutic modalities including; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

She also offers Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as an approach to help individuals process and recover from past traumatic experiences.

She adopts a holistic, biopsychological framework to assist clients in adjusting to the physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioural consequences of brain injury. She is particularly skilled in providing family-sensitive interventions and supporting individuals and their family members navigate the unique psychological challenges often experienced following neurological injury or illness.

Appointments with Dr Jackson are available via home visits and online. She also has consulting rooms available in Hertford and Welwyn Garden City on request.
