About me
Robert has 20 years of experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. During this time he has developed a large and successful private practice at the Nuffield and Duchy Hospitals.
He was the senior Plastic Surgeon at Derriford Hospital for 14 years before leaving the NHS in 2014. There, he specialised in Breast Surgery whilst building and leading the Sarcoma Surgery Unit.
He now enjoys the freedom to dedicate time to his private patients and develop his practice. He is ably assisted by two wonderful secretaries, Leanne and Jess.
Robert has an honest, and sensitive approach to consultations. He will explain the benefits as well as implications and risks of procedures in detail. paying particular attention to those pertinent to you. Treatment advice will be tailored to your individual circumstances. He has excellent working relationships with colleagues both in his and other specialties.
Robert continues his links with education and examination at the highest level in Plastic Surgery. He undergoes appraisal and revalidation and is committed to delivering the best possible care to his patients.
His many outside interest include sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, walking and wild camping.
Training
Robert completed his medical training at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London in 1985.
