About me
Mr Thomas Hester is a highly regarded consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in adult and paediatric trauma and elective adult foot and ankle conditions. Currently working at Kings College Hospital, a major trauma and tertiary referral centre, he has a keen interest in research and innovation in his field of expertise. Tom was part of the surgical team with Broken Earth Medical Mission to Guatemala, where he used it as an opportunity to apply advanced trauma (ATLS) principles in a challenging setting.
Tom is a conscientious, proactive and caring consultant who is dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Mr Hester graduated from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine with Distinction in 2006. He was awarded a 1st in his BSc with Honours from UCL in 2005 and the Scales Prize for Orthopaedic Science. He went on to achieve a MSc (Hons) at the University of Brighton.

He currently specialises in a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including minimally invasive surgery (arthroscopy), ligament injuries, ankle fractures, cartilage damage, bunions and heel pain. He has contributed to many professional journals and publications and used his interest in IT to design a surgically oriented app together with an online training module.
