Mr Togay Ko� is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in foot and ankle conditions. He offers expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of problems affecting the foot and ankle, using both conservative and surgical techniques, including the latest minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures.

He is a substantive NHS consultant at University Hospital Southampton and sees private patients at leading hospitals in the region. Mr Ko� is known for his clear communication, evidence-based approach, and commitment to delivering personalised care tailored to each patient's needs and lifestyle.

Professional background

Mr Ko� completed his specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex Deanery and undertook advanced foot and ankle fellowships at internationally recognised centres including Oxford, Frimley Park & Guildford, and a travelling fellowship to Harborview Medical Centre in Seattle, USA. He was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery and holds the FRCS (Tr & Orth) qualification.

He has been the recipient of multiple national and international awards, including travelling fellowships from the British Orthopaedic Association, British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.

Research, teaching and innovation

Mr Ko� is actively involved in research and has published extensively in peer-reviewed orthopaedic journals, particularly in the field of foot and ankle surgery. He has a strong interest in innovation, surgical education, and simulation training, and holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Southampton.

He regularly teaches and mentors surgeons at regional, national, and international level and is closely involved with professional bodies shaping the future of foot and ankle surgery in the UK.
