About me
Catherine is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist who qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Hertfordshire in 2011.
Catherine currently works in a NHS Looked After Children's Service and before this has worked in NHS mental health services for 15 years. She has extensive experience in working with children and adults across a range of settings and with a range of mental health concerns.
Catherine's preferred treatment approaches are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) and Systemic approaches.
Catherine also has extensive experience and knowledge in supporting children and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). Catherine is a trained sleep counsellor for supporting children and young people with additional needs. Catherine is trained to offer ASD and LD assessments.
She is passionate about adapting approaches to meet the needs of the people she supports in meaningful, fun and person-centred ways. When not working, Catherine enjoys exploring new places and being outdoors with her 2 young children.
