About me

You might be looking for help with a specific issue, such as anxiety, feeling sad, low self-esteem or a relationship problem. You might want to make a change to your family, work or social life.

You might need help with something that feels painful or even embarrassing. Sometimes the usual ways of coping don't seem to help. The same thing seems to happen over and over again.

Therapy can provide a contained, confidential space to explore what is troubling you.

Like all of us, I have experienced challenges in life. And I have always been fascinated by what makes us think, feel and behave in the ways that we do.

I am qualified in psychodynamic as well as other therapy approaches and can integrate these to fit you and your situation. I am accredited by and a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its Ethical Framework.

In addition to private practice, my experience includes counselling in the NHS and voluntary sectors. I have worked with adult clients of all ages and from a variety of cultures, races and sexual orientations. I am experienced and comfortable in working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning (LGBTQ) clients.

In addition to studying the theory and practice of psychotherapy for more than a decade now, I have used counselling and psychotherapy myself. Therapy has provided me with support during personal challenges, greater self-awareness and increasing acceptance of myself and others. It has also challenged me when I needed it – there is always more to learn.

Please contact me for an initial consultation, to discuss your situation, or just to ask questions.
