About me
Dr Alice Kennedy is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has worked clinically with young people and adults since 2006 in the NHS, universities, third sector and private practice. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner in Eye Movement and Desensitization therapy (EMDR). In addition, Alice provides supervision to qualified psychologists and is Assistant Professor for a doctoral programme, training psychologists.
Alice will work with you to understand the difficulties causing your distress, how and where these have originated from, and why they continue to affect you.
Alice will tailor her approach to suit your individual needs and engage you with compassion, warmth and respect. She aims to create a sense of safety where you are free to express and explore the difficulties you are facing. Together, you will generate a plan to tackle these difficulties. You can decide whether you want just a few sessions or wish to work together over several months.
