About me
About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist and HCPC registered practitioner with over 16 years of clinical and academic experience.
Alongside my private work, I also teach, lecture and provide clinical supervision to other psychologists, keeping my knowledge fresh and evidence-based. I work as a Guest Lecturer on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London and as a tutor with the Association of Psychological Therapies. In addition to private therapy clients, I also offer assessments for Autism and ADHD.
Therapeutic Values and Practice
My first priority is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel heard and understood. I provide a compassionate and empathic outlook, approaching difficulties with kindness and curiosity. I support clients manage to challenges while also recognising and building on their unique strengths. From building a shared understanding of the above, I work with clients to develop a tailored therapeutic plan. This typically utilises a combination of skills and overall therapeutic concepts, for example self-compassion, stress/anxiety management, building positive self-identity and maintaining healthy relationships.
As an experienced Clinical Psychologist, I adapt my approach to each individual's goals and values, drawing on evidence-based therapeutic models such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I believe that the stories we tell ourselves shape how we see the world. Together, we can reshape unhelpful stories into ones that support confidence, self-acceptance, and wellbeing. By integrating self-compassion into my practice, I aim to foster the development of long-lasting principles and skills that will provide my clients with long-term benefits.
