About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist with over twenty years of clinical experience, having worked across a range of NHS Mental Health Services and, for the past seven years, in private practice. My experience includes Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), and Learning Disability Services. Throughout my career, I have worked with people experiencing a broad range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, psychosis.
My training encompasses a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to draw on different perspectives according to each person's needs. I believe that no single model can fully capture the complexity of human experience, so I tailor my approach to each person rather than expecting people to fit a particular way of working.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties in relationships, or the impact of significant life events. Others may have a sense that something in their lives does not feel quite right but are unsure why. Therapy offers an opportunity to reflect on these experiences and to consider how patterns of thinking, feeling, relationships, and earlier life experiences may be influencing the present.
I pay close attention to each person's unique circumstances, values, and way of making sense of the world. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship in which there is space to reflect, deepen understanding, and consider new perspectives at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
