About me

I qualified from Southampton University in 1997, and having worked in New Zealand and taught anatomy at Oxford University, I did my surgical training in the South West Peninsula region. I passed the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam in 2009, and underwent a 1 year Reconstructive Arthroscopy/Sports Fellowship in Vancouver, Canada, working with the Joint Preservation Unit of British Columbia. I was appointed as an NHS Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-specialty interest in Shoulder and Elbow at Torbay Hospital in 2011. I work privately at Mount Stuart Hospital in Torquay. I pride myself on ensuring my patients are fully informed and involved in their treatment, discussing the risks and benefits of all non-surgical and surgical options with shared decision making.
