About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years' experience working in various roles within the NHS. I enjoy working with both individuals and families, providing a supportive space to navigate and overcome a wide range of psychological difficulties.

Within the NHS I have worked with diverse problems across all age ranges from children to older adults. In my private practice, however, I mostly work with children and young people and specialise in adolescents / young adults.

My NHS experience includes working in a number of different services including a mainstream Child and Adolescent Service (CAMHS) and a specialist Adolescent Service as well as a Neurodevelopmental Service, where I supported families and children with diagnoses of Autism and ADHD.

The young people I work with tend to be struggling with difficulties such as low mood, anxiety (including OCD/phobias) and self-harm.

I mainly use a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I have a particular interest in third wave approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) which I have found to be particularly helpful for young people. I also have experience using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for difficulties such as OCD and emetophobia (fear of being sick).

In addition talking therapy, I also offer Cognitive/Learning Assessments for children and young people aged 6+ years. This is a comprehensive assessment using the WISC-V and WIAT-III which can give you a picture of your child's cognitive strengths and weakness' and identify dyslexia or dyscalculia. The report will also provide recommendations of how to support your child at home and school, for example, reasonable adjustments for exams. Please see my website for further information.

I can offer face to face appointments from my clinic in central Bromley or online.

Please do contact me for further information if you feel that I might be a good fit for working with your child. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.
