About me

Amber is a chartered clinical psychologist who has worked with children, young people and their families within the NHS for over 20 years. She has also delivered mental health training to other NHS professionals.

Amber can offer support to children, young people and their families for a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties including low mood, fears and worries, anxiety and phobias, self-esteem issues, emotional issues such as anger management, friendship and other relationship issues. Amber also has substantial experience of working with children and young people who are experiencing emotional or behavioural problems but who are also on the Autistic Spectrum, have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or learning difficulties or disabilities.

Amber can assess cognitive functioning which can help with the understanding of the young person’s cognitive strengths and difficulties and how these may be impacting on their emotional wellbeing. She is also able to offer assessments of Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Condition (ASD/ASC) and ADHD.

Amber uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailored to what best suits each person.
