About me

Catriona Hardie graduated from the University of Glasgow with MBChB in 1999. Her postgraduate Obstetrics and Gynaecology Higher Specialist Training was undertaken in the West of Scotland. This also incorporated a period as a Clinical Research Fellow in Gynaecological Oncology leading to the award of PhD. She has presented and published extensively in this area.

Dr Hardie was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow (formerly Southern General Hospital) in 2012. She is the Local Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. She has an interest in teaching and training doctors in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and previously was an RCOG College Tutor.

Dr Hardie�s main clinical interests are in the investigation and treatment of menstrual disorders, benign gynaecological conditions (including fibroids and ovarian cysts) and gynaecological malignancy. She is experienced in outpatient hysteroscopy and the use of transvaginal ultrasound. Dr Hardie is an experienced gynaecological surgeon offering a full range of treatments including hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, endometrial ablation, complex open abdominal surgery and laparoscopic surgery.
