About me

I am a clinical psychologist and registered member of both the Health and Care Professions Council UK and the British Psychological Society. I am also an accredited CBT Therapist. I have worked 16 years in the NHS in a range of services, including primary care and specialist services, and for 11 years at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and King’s College Hospital in London. I have ample experience working with people with depression and a range of anxiety problems, people who experience stress and with people who moved countries and feel uprooted and struggle with a new culture and way of life. A particular area of interest for me is health psychology: I have worked extensively with people with emotional problems as a consequence of developing a health issue, after working at King’s College Hospital in the Department of Psychological Medicine and Orthopaedics. I am very interested in the link between body and mind and how both influence each other. I also have experience working with people with persistent physical symptoms and syndromes such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, non-cardiac chest pain and chronic fatigue. I can offer therapy in both Spanish and English.
