Dr Giovanni Luigi De Maria is a distinguished consultant interventional cardiologist who is based in Oxford. He specialises in management of chest pain, coronary heart disease, hypertension, coronary angioplasty/stenting.
Dr De Maria is Lead of the Acute Cardiovascular sub-theme at the Oxford British Research Council and he is clinical lead of the Research Catheterization Laboratory of the Acute Multidisciplinary Imaging and Intervention Centre (AMIIC) at the University of Oxford.
Dr De Maria has an extensive background in research and continues to be involved in a number of key clinical trials. He has authored over 150 academic articles which appear in peer-reviewed journals, as well as several book chapters.
