About me
Mr Zaid Shalchi specialises in cataract surgery, medical retina and uveitis. He is a consultant at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor and previously consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
He graduated from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2007. His ophthalmology training was at St Thomas', King's College Hospital and Moorfields. He is fellowship-trained in medical retina, uveitis and complex cataract surgery and a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth).
Mr Shalchi has performed research across the world and has presented and published this work in leading societies and journals. He trains ophthalmologists at an international level at the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) as well as the European Society for Retina Specialists (Euretina).
His personal interests include cycling, cooking and film.
