About me

We all face challenges at some point in our lives that we struggle to overcome on our own.

As an experienced Chartered Counselling Psychologist, I offer psychotherapy as a tool for self-development and for those who are seeking to understand and overcome a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties in a safe and supportive space.

I work individually with adults age 18+, offering both short-term assessment and treatment as well as longer-term work for more complex concerns and on-going support.

I specialise in helping people struggling with painful consequences of early trauma, abuse or neglect and those who feel their problems have been a repetitive pattern throughout their lives. I am also passionate about helping people liberate themselves and recover from the damaging effects of patriarchal systems in their lives, be that their families, schooling or wider society.

I am trained in a range of therapeutic methods and have specialised in Schema Therapy; Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS); Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I am passionate about working creatively to support each person’s well-being and I offer an integrative therapy based on your needs, my clinical experience and current research evidence.

Clients say I have a warm, empathic and interactive style and a welcome sense of humour amidst the intensity of therapeutic work. I work hard to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, which I believe can be the foundation for on-going and life enhancing change. I am an LGBTQ+ welcoming space.

I have also worked and studied in the self-development and alternative health fields for over 25 years. This experience enables me to think broadly and holistically about my clients’ difficulties and if directed by the client, can be integrated into our work together.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and have been in clinical practice since 2006.
