About me
I currently work part time in the NHS and part time in private practice. I offer psychological assessment and intervention to young people and their families, adults and older adults.
I work with people who are experiencing a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, OCD and phobias, and trauma. I draw on a number of models and approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness, Systemic and Attachment Theory. This allows me to meet each person’s individual needs and facilitate a person to improve their relationships with family members or partners.
I believe that a warm, thoughtful and compassionate approach underpins all psychological work and strive to develop this relationship from the start.
Areas of interest
Children and Young People (0-18): behavioural difficulties; trauma; attachment issues; anxiety; OCD; phobias; low mood/depression;
Adults: Depression; anxiety; OCD; phobias; trauma; relational difficulties; stress
I offer assessment to patients to gain a good understanding of someone's needs and hopes, in order to inform the intervention I use. Interventions include talking the therapies outlined above.
