About me

Mr Gregg-Smith is a specialist in shoulder surgery, providing a full range of surgical and outpatient treatments.
He studied at Corpus Christi College, Oxford before qualifying as a doctor at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He did some of his junior surgical training in Bath before returning to Oxford to specialise in orthopaedic surgery. He then spent time in an academic post at Oxford University, carrying out teaching and research as well as surgery, before taking up a consultant post in Bath in 1995.
Mr Gregg-Smith now has a specialist practice dealing exclusively with the shoulder. He provides the full range of surgical and outpatient treatments, including keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery and open shoulder surgery, for injuries, dislocations, tendon problems and arthritis
He remains at the forefront of injury and fracture surgery and continues to research, teach, and train nationally and internationally.
Mr Gregg-Smith strongly believes that truly excellent results in shoulder conditions can only be achieved by a partnership between patient, surgeon and physiotherapist and that the key to this is mutual communication and understanding
