I have worked in a range of adult mental health services having worked with people suffering from the consequences of complex trauma, depression, anxiety, the psychological consequences of dementia and living with disabling conditions. I am an expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and have done a range of continuing professional development in partnership models, systemic work and psychodynamic therapies.
Research interests
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. What works for whom is psychotherapy. How do people understand diagnostic labels differently.

Gardening, art, walking, theatre and film.

Staff Award for Contribution to Sheffield Care Trust.
Donald Brenner Prize for contribution to Q Methodology (innovative paper into palliative care; I was the supervisor).
