About me

I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist based in Leeds.

I graduated with a first class (hons) Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of York and subsequently completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hull. I have since undertaken an Advanced Diploma in Family Therapy and Systemic Thinking at the University of Derby and Supervisor Training.

Throughout my career I have worked in both private practice and busy NHS teams, having previously worked in Child Health Psychology Teams and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

I am trained in the field of psychological assessment relating to mental health and specialist neurodevelopmental assessment, including autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.

I am passionate about supporting emotional wellbeing and as such work therapeutically with adults, young people and parents to offer interventions drawing on a range of psychological approaches including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused therapy, positive behaviour support and systemic therapy.

Working with young people and adults who are autistic or have ADHD and/or intellectual disabilities is an area of specialism for me. As such, I also work with young people, adults, and parents before and/or following diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD (sometimes this is immediately following diagnosis and other times a while after diagnosis). The aim is to support people in furthering their understanding of themselves and linking this in with emotional wellbeing and practical strategies.

I believe in ensuring that therapeutic approaches are accessible to everyone and therefore have extensive experience of adapting approaches for working with people with additional needs and across the age range.
