About me
Ahmed Latif graduated with a Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery (MB BCHir) from Cambridge University. He was awarded the National Wolfson Foundation Scholarship to complete a Bachelor in Science in experimental pathology.
Following completion of his core surgical training in London, he completed his orthopaedic surgical training within the South East Thames London rotation and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics, FRCS (Ortho).
He was a senior fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery before being appointed as a NHS consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics, at the Trust, in 2016.
He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Orthopaedics, University of London, having completed a two year research in project in the UK and Europe, in 2003-2005. He was awarded Best research paper, 2nd prize in 2008, at the British Orthopaedic Association annual congress.
He enjoys training orthopaedic registrars on the London South East orthopaedic training rotation. He also trains Foot and Ankle fellows in one of the UK’s recognised National fellowships by the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) at Guy’s hospital.
He continues to present papers in national and international meetings and published articles in peer reviewed scientific journals.
