About me

I graduated from Imperial College London with double distinction. I completed my training in Anaesthesia within Central London, which includes The Royal Free London, Royal National Orthopaedic, and University College London Hospitals.

I became Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014, and was appointed as a Consultant at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust in 2019. My private practice includes BMI The Kings Oak and The Cavell, One Hatfield, Spire Bushey, and The Wellington Hospitals.

I have a specialist interest in providing high-quality care to facilitate ‘awake surgery’, as well as providing anaesthesia for major trauma and orthopaedic, urology and breast surgery. I am the department’s Anaesthetic Lead for SAS Doctors, NELA, and the hospitals Undergraduate Tutor for UCL and St George’s Medical School.

Outside of my clinical responsibilities, I have a keen interest in promoting patient safety, satisfaction and experience throughout the operative period. My work in setting up Quality Improvement and Fast Track Recovery Pathways has received over 25 awards from the Association of Anaesthetists, British Society of OrthopaedicAnaesthesia, British Ophthalmic Anaesthetic Society, Royal College of Anaesthetists, Royal Society of Medicine, and Regional Anaesthesia UK. I have over 50 abstracts, case reports, systematic reviews and book chapters published in world-renowned journals.

I have a great passion for medical education at both regional and national levels, have a strong presence and following on social media, and have previously held a prestigious role as a television doctor for ITV’s ‘This Morning’.
