About me

I am a highly experienced counselling psychologist who has worked across a number of sectors including the NHS, charitable organisations, Occupational Health Departments, GP surgeries and in private practice.
I am Chartered by the British Psychology Society (BPS) and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My practice is up to date, evidence based and I work to clear ethical standards.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to individual needs and requirements. I am also friendly and approachable.
I have experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of issues. I am a BPS accredited supervisor and am on the BPS Register of Expert Witnesses.
Prior to qualifying as a Counselling Psychologist, I worked as a senior manager in the NHS and in the private sector as both a general manager and in HR.

Areas of interest

I work with young people; adults and older adults.
I have a number of areas of interest. These include: anxiety; depression; work related stress; post traumatic stress disorder; relationship difficulties; OCD; phobias; addictions; gender dysphoria and bereavement.
My approach is evidence based and tailored to each client. My therapeutic approach will therefore be to use CBT, trauma focused CBT, EMDR or, where appropriate, to integrate the approach.
