About me

I qualified in 1984 from Manchester medical school and trained in the speciality of obstetrics and gynaecology in the North West.
After I obtained my membership exam in O&G, I worked in an IVF unit for 4 years developing my interest in subfertility. I became a consultant in 2002 at Trafford General Hospital, and transferred to UHSM in 2010 when maternity services were reorganised in the region.I continue to see patients with a wide variety of gynaecological complaints both in the NHS and privately.
I retired from my consultant post at Wythenshawe hospital in the NHS.but continued NHS work at the Alexandra.. In addition to my clinical commitments there, I have been the the RCOG( royal college of Obstetricians and gynaecologists )tutor from 2013-18.
I regularly update my medical knowledge and attend courses at the RCOG,and was revalidated in 2018,having participated in yearly appraisals.
